Mystika Archives: Found

Hey everyone, it's Elara again!!!!

So after we got back from RTHQ, Lexi and I finally went to the chocolate room, and guess what I found? The Mystika Archives!!!!!!!
.... You don't know what the Mystika Archives are, do you?
Well, the Mystika Archives are where all the life stories of all the Mystika students are! Lexi may have mentioned that to you before.
Anyway, guess what else I found?
Nothing less than the life story of a certain Alexandra Sarielle Rue!!!
Lexi is currently out on a mission right now, so I can post it on here if you want!!!
...Only problem is, part of it kinda got singed to a crisp. So I'll only be able to post the first part.
   It's your choice :)

Elara

If you do want me to write out the first part of Lexi's life story, it'll basically explain how Lexi met Elara, Henry, and Sam, and what Lexi did before joining the Mystique. If you don't want me to write it, I'll just go on to the next mission. Lexi's life story isn't really needed to understand any of my missions in the future, so it doesn't matter to me.

Tour guide Lexi Rue, at your service!

Dedicated to Magicrainbow123  'cause she kept nagging me about it :P

"Okay, so first off, here's the mess hall. It's where we eat, have food fights, and act kinda crazy" I pointed through an archway. I had been assigned to give Persia a tour of Mystika Academy.
Have I ever told you how much I love giving tours? It makes me feel all professional and stuff.
"Anyway, the food fights don't happen as much as you think. Although, if one does break out, I suggest army crawling under the tables. Most of the teachers are cool with it if you have food stains on your clothes, but the Air teacher will go nuts if she sees even a speck of dirt on you. Pretty much all of the people in the Air house are neat freaks, so I advise you stay at least a foot from them unless you want to get slapped with a bunch of feather dusters." Pausing to take a breath, I found Persia looking at me strangely.
Turning the corner, I started up again. "So, this hallway," I gestured in front of me. "Is where we have all our classes. There's one teacher for each element, Basic and Secondary, so there are a lot of teachers." I heard a creaking noise behind me and whipped around. "Oh, shoot there's the stairs!!!"
I ran as fast as I could towards the slowly fading staircase, with Persia panting behind me.
"What in the world are we running for?!?!" Persia asked
I pointed at the staircase."That's our only way to the second floor!"
Note to all readers: Disappearing staircases are very very dangerous and absolutely should not be messed with. There is always the chance you might slip and fall into thin air. Which happened to me.
"AHHHHHHHH NO I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE- Wait, what?" Somehow, I was... floating!!!!
I gawked at Persia. "Did you do this?"
She winced and shrugged. "I don't know. Look, can you just hurry up? You're kinda heavy."
I giggled, embarrassed. "Oh right, I, uh, forgot I had wings." I unfolded them and hurriedly flew the rest of the way. Persia followed soon after, collapsing on the floor and breathing hard.
I ran over to her. "Are you okay?!?! Do you need me to take you to the Water house?!?! That's the house all the healers are in, you know..."
Persia held up a hand to stop me. "I'll be fine. What's on the second floor, anyway?"
A relieved grin spread across my face. "Well, for starters, most of the dorms are on the second floor. The only exception right now is the Fire house, which I'm in. The Fire house has their own separate rooms that they're able to move around."
Persia's brow furrowed. "What do you mean by 'right now'?"
My eyes lit up at this question. "Okay, so technically, there's an unlimited amount of elements. Since  there's one house for each element, there's an unlimited amount of houses." Persia opened her mouth to comment, but I held up a finger to stop her. "Right now, I think there are only five active houses. Their official names are Dreamers of the Day, Walkers of the Water, Movers of the Mind, Communicators of the Crystal, and Fighters of the Forest. Their elements are Fire, Water, Air, Ice, and Earth, respectively. Instead of having a headmistress, we have a representative from each active house"
I helped Persia up. "All the dorms are really awesome. The Ice dorms are completely made out of ice and crystal, the Water dorms are partially flooded so you can swim whenever you feel like it, and the Earth dorms have a forest growing in them!" I leaned over to whisper in her ear. "Also, the boy side of the Earth dorms are rumored to be haunted."
Persia gave me a puzzled look. "What about the boy students?"
I burst out laughing. "I'm sorry, I must've forgotten to tell you. Mystika is a girls-only academy. A long time ago, guys went here too, but some big fight happened." A glowing light caught my eye. "Oh, this is perfect timing!!!" I pulled Persia over to look. "The doorways with these shiny symbol thingys," I rubbed the mark. "Are a kind of mini portal. If you have a key and you know how to activate them, you can go to the specialty rooms. There's a trampoline room, there's a chocolate room, and tons of other rooms!!! Apparently there's a room with all the life stories of all the students that have gone here! I'm still trying to find it."
I pulled a key out of my pocket and showed it to her. "You get the key when you get sorted into a house. Now, allow me to demonstrate the activation." With a flourish, I picked up the key and held it in front of me. "One thing you should remember is that the symbols switch doorways every couple of days." I closed my eyes and concentrated on letting my power flow through me and to the key.
Somehow, I uh, managed to use a little too much magic and I ended up creating an actual portal.
I spread my arms out. "Stay back!!! This might be- Oof!" Something careened into Persia, making her stumble forward and crash into me. The world seemed to slow down as we fell into the portal.
"Oh my gosh, I cannot wait till we get there. I haven't had a piece of chocolate in ages and it's been driving me-"
"Elara," I growled out. "You are in so much trouble when we get back."

The sweet victory of finally getting a party

I looked down at the dancers from my position on the rooftop. Up here, there was a beautiful view of Salindae, with the added bonus of everyone looking like ants. Leaning over the side, I could almost see the small specks that were Henry and Elli dancing together. I grinned triumphantly to myself. After all, a matchmaker takes pride in the couples she creates. Or in my case, shoved together repeatedly.
I probably could have stayed there for the rest of the party smiling happily among the fairy lights and flowers that were up here on the roof. I could've been my normal awesome self, and definitely not confused. But no, I just had to be within earshot of the party and that song just had to be playing.

"Oh, happily ever after
Wouldn't you know, wouldn't you know
Oh, skip to the ending
Who'd like to know, I'd like to know
Author of the moment, can you tell me?
Do I end up, do I end up happy..."

If the Mystique had a theme song, this would be it.Well, if we had a theme song and I convinced them to like it.
I love this song so much, I almost dived off the building and flew to the source of the music. I settled for running down the stairs at a frantic pace.
After about three flights of stairs I sprinted down the hallway, aiming for the servants' staircase, which had the slipperiest banister ever.
Unfortunately, I didn't make it. The floors were still wet from scrubbing, and I ended up flying through the air. Seriously, they should have those bright yellow wet floor signs that I saw in some other Verses. I mean, someone could get horribly injured in a situation like this.
I probably would've been sent to the hospital ward too, if someone didn't catch me and set me down.
"Oh, thank-" I trailed off, staring at his face. I narrowed my eyes. "You, again?!?!"
He raised an eyebrow. "Me again, what?"
"Hallucination guy! What in the name of chocolate are you doing back here?!?!"
"I'm sad, Lexi, I thought we were past all the name calling."
"I'm not as vulnerable as I was in the dungeon. You may look like Sam, but I know he's dead already. So, Hallucination guy, shall be your name."
Hallucination guy sighed exasperatedly. "Well, I just wanted to let you know that I'm proud of you. Who would've guessed that annoying brat would actually-"
     "Hey! No name-calling!"
He facepalmed and muttered something about hypocritical stubborn girls. I frowned, impatiently tapping my foot.
He took a deep breath. "I'm assuming you wouldn't believe me if I said Sam actually didn't die, and is standing right in front of you?"
     I shook my head no.
"Well, it was worth a try. Here's some advice: Sometimes you shouldn't always believe in what you see" Hallucination guy waved at me and then sauntered off.
I stared at him as he walked off. A flash of light caught my eye. I stopped breathing for a second. Was that- was that the storm ring on his hand?
He turned around and winked at me, putting a finger up to his lips.
Even after he left, I stood there, shocked.
Maybe my friends were right. Perhaps I am going insane.

So that's my first big mission, done! Right now I'm back at Mystika Academy, and guess what? I wasted my whole summer vacation on that mission! It was totally worth it though.
Anyway, we also have a new student!!!! Her name is Persia and she seems really nice. She's currently in the undetermined house. I eavesdropped on her once, and it seems like she has a boyfriend named Wesley. They seem soooo cute. Oh shoot, my friends are bombarding the door. Happy chocolate eating!!!

P.S. The song is Happily Ever After by He Is We. Check it out!!!

Verse 2: A grand/epic ballroom

I blinked at the strange sight of a flash mob, in tuxes and glittering dresses. Even stranger was the fact they were dancing the Caramelldansen. Do you know how hard that is?!?! It took me hours to get it right and I still looked like an idiot while doing it.
I shook my head after realizing I had been staring much too long at the flash mob, and started pushing my way through the crowd.
I'm pretty sure I stepped on way too many skirts and shoes, and I was apologizing non-stop. This all stopped when I saw her face.
"Laixa!!!" I immediately ran and bear hugged her. "I haven't seen you in ages!!! Is this your new life? You still have your awesome fashionista skills, right? Did you make tons of new friends?" Her puzzled expression told me everything I needed to know. "Oh, this is probably that incident you told me about, I'm guessing. Well then," I stuck my hand out. "My name is Alexandra Sarielle Rue, but you can just call me Lexi. The next time you see me, you have to teach me all about my fire magic, and those awesome fashionista skills I mentioned earlier. Promise?
"...Okay" Laixa said hesitantly, the look on her face screaming 'get me away from this crazy person'.
I beamed at her. "Great! Now if you'll excuse me, I only really came here for this." I casually slid a moonstone armband off of someone's arm. "So, ta ta for now, and remember, you promised!" I winked at her and hightailed it out of there.
Panting hard, I stopped in a dark alcove. I grasped the piece of jewelry with both hands, and created a portal.

After being subjected to torture by rainbow sparkles...

I plopped down hard, back in the Phiriexiell palace. I looked at my surroundings quizzically; I thought I still had two more jewels left to go...

Elli sighed in relief, helping me up. "Lexi, you really should have waited till I set up the shields! I'm pretty sure you set off alarms all over the place!!!"
I rolled my eyes. "I'm sure it's not that bad. Why am I back here, anyway?"
She held up a tanzanite hairpin and my fire opal bracelet. "I decided to help you out and find some of the jewels too."
"Did you see the storm jewel anywhere?"
"Maybe it was never taken in the first place." Elli said, shrugging.
"That makes sense. Wait, why were one of the jewels in The Lady or the Tiger? I thought that was a Realm?"
"Oh how do I put this... If a story isn't finished or has a vague ending, it can be a Realm and a Verse at the same time."
I looked at her, eyes wide. "You know, right now I'm really glad the last Septimus Heap book isn't out yet."
"Even when it is out, I think you can still go to that Realm. It just might be kind of... hard for you."
"It's not like I'm going to try to change the story! I just want to try a stupid FizzFroot!!! Is that so bad?!?!"
"Yes. Yes it is." Elli deadpanned. Her stomach rumbled. "See, it's making me hungry. Do you mind telling me where the kitchens are?"
"Well, I do, but a certain someone wouldn't." I cupped my hands around my mouth. "Hey Henry, come over here!!!"
     "What?" He said grumpily.
"Can you show Elli to the kitchens? I have something to take care of up here."
I smirked as a steady blush spread over both of their faces. This was going to be perfect.
      "W-well, um-" Henry stuttered out.
I cut him off. "Really? Great! Now, shoo, shoo!!!" I shoved them out the door and slammed it. My back slid down until I was seated comfortably on the floor. If everything went well those two would confess to each other before I had to leave.
To pass the time I examined my jewel, watching the light reflect off it, revealing many different colors. As pretty as it was, I frowned. It seemed... different somehow. I moved it closer to my face. And suddenly I saw it.
Etched into it ever so faintly, was a feather.

It turns out that when we brought the jewels back to Hexanalyn, everyone in a coma woke up! I feel so proud of myself, my first big mission done! I'm not leaving yet, though. I mean, we still have to celebrate Elli's birthday! Since you know, the party got crashed and all. Well, the next time you hear from me, I'll be dressed in my best having tons of fun!!! See you then!

Verse 1: A story yet to bloom...

You know, portals can be very unreliable at times. Sometimes they lead you into a completely different place, or land you somewhere awkward...
I really shouldn't be surprised I landed on someone.
"Oh my gosh, I am so, so sorry. Did I hurt you at all?" I scrambled up and proceeded to check him for injuries.
A weak grunt came from the man I landed on. "I'm... fine... Just knocked... the breath out... of me."
"WHO DARES TO INTERRUPT THE TRIAL?!?!?"
I glanced up to see a semi-barbaric king with an angry expression, glaring at me. "Um, I apologize, your majesty. Uh, what exactly is going on here?"
A random voice spoke up. "It's the courier's trial to see if he was guilty for loving the princess."
Looking around, I eventually came to the conclusion that I was in an arena. This seemed suspiciously like that one story I read...
I furrowed my brow. "But, love can't really be classified as good or evil, right? On one hand, he's guilty because he didn't suppress his feelings, and let them grow. On the other hand, the feelings appeared inside of him, without him really wanting them. In the end, love is just there. It can cause us to do awesome things, or horrible things, but it remains neutral." It seemed I had everyone's attention by now, and murmurs of disbelief echoed throughout the whole arena. "Also, if he truly loved the princess, he would be punished either way, by getting eaten, or by marrying someone he doesn't love. So isn't this whole trial unfair?"
The king turned his glare towards the courier. "JUST OPEN A STUPID DOOR ALREADY!!!"
He slowly stood up and reached for the right door latch. But before he could lift it, both doors crashed down simultaneously, revealing a tiger and a... ninja? The ninja dashed towards the king and pinned him down, while the tiger transformed into another ninja and casually strolled up with a pair of handcuffs.
"Your majesty, you have been found guilty by the ISAR (Inter-Verse Society of Animal Rights) of animal cruelty, and as such, we reserve the right to dole out the necessary punishments." The first ninja stated, as he was being arrested.
His eyes widened in recognition. "Wait, aren't you the lady behind one of the doors?"
She pretended to think for a moment. "Well yeah, but I didn't really want to get hitched, you know?"
The former tiger looked at her without sympathy. "That sounds way better than being deprived of food for half a year."
     "True."
This time it was my eyes that widened in recognition. I could have sworn I had heard that voice before...
"Who's going to rule now?" Yet another random voice in the arena asked.
I rolled my eyes. "Isn't it obvious? The princess and the courier will." I sent a meaningful look to both of them. "I mean, you might as well get married, since the king can't stop you."
The princess practically leaped into the courier's arms, as the priest, choristers, and dancing maidens came out. In the midst of all the commotion, I spotted the two ninjas slinking away with the king. I ran after them, and finally managed to catch up outside.
"So Cali," I crossed my arms and faced the tiger-turned-ninja. "What in the name of chocolate are you doing here?"
"First of all, at least say my name correctly. It's Kaliazhe. KAH-LEE-AH-ZEH. Second, I actually have a life outside the palace kitchens, not that it's any of your business."
"Speaking of that," I turned to the other ninja. "Do you mind giving me that choker around your neck?"
        She blinked."What, this old thing?"
        I nodded vigorously."Yes, yes, absolutely."
"Sure, take it." The lady unclasped the choker and tossed it to me. I watched it fly through the air, the dangling jade glinting in the sun, before landing in my open palm.
I gripped it tightly, moving around the back of the arena. After doing a quick scan of the area to make sure no one was there, I released my magic, letting it poke and prod at the jewel. When a soft green glow surrounded the jade, I sighed in relief, then quickly shoved more magic at it, creating a portal.
As the rainbow sparks swirled around me, I dove in, without hesitation.

If anyone knows the story Lexi went to I'll give you virtual cookies!
Also, I think the door the princess chose had the lady behind it because I think she would rather see her love live and possibly be happy, than die.
...If you didn't get that, you probably haven't read the story I was talking about.

Portal chains, portraits, and wait, is that verses I see?

Obviously, going into the portal first, meant that I was the first one to arrive at our destination.
"Hey Henry, Elli's on her way, and she has something to tell yo- Oww!"
Elli stood in front of me, arms crossed. "Lexi, I told I would tell him after we find the jewels! You have absolutely no right to-" Suddenly, a blush spread across her face. "Oh, s-sorry Henry. I, um, didn't notice you there."
"Right Elli, you didn't notice the guy staring at you, grinning like an idiot." I said sarcastically.
Henry flushed furiously. "I was not grinning like an idiot!"
I raised an eyebrow. "Then you admit to staring at her?"
"I didn't do that either! Elli needs to be treated with respect, and that does not mean staring at her and grinning like an idiot, which you wrongly accused me of doing!"
"I'm the same rank as Elli, and you never treat me with respect!"
     "Well, you don't deserve it."
Elli stepped in. "Look, I know both of you were separated for most of your lives, but can you catch up on the sibling quarrels later? We have a job to do."
"Sir, yes, sir!" I mock-saluted Elli.
"Okay then, Lexi, did you receive a small portrait of yourself? Can you give it to me?"
"Sir, yes, sir!" I reached into my pocket and tossed it at her.
      "Lexi, just stop."
"Sir,yes-" Elli shot a glare at me. "Ugh, fine."
Elli reached into her pocket and pulled out five more portraits of different people. Looking closer, I saw that they were portraits of the other Chosen, including Elli.
"Do you know about the Jewel's Safeguard yet?" Elli asked, looking towards me.
I scratched the back of my head sheepishly. "Um, no?"
Elli took a deep breath. "The jewels were made so that anyone could use them, in case something happened to the Chosen. However, if a jewel falls into the hands of someone with a hint of dark magic, it activates the Jewel's Safeguard, which immediately transports the jewel to a safe Verse. The portraits, when put together in a certain way, create a chain of portals that lead to the Verses that have the jewels. Luckily, I managed to make a few stop-overs to the other countries and collect these. Any questions?"
I raised my hand slightly. "What's a Verse?"
Elli facepalmed. "You're in the Mystique, and you still don't know?!"
        "Sorry!!!"
"Well, anyway, Verses are the worlds that were created by imagination or dreams but haven't been written down, or made into a movie yet."
"That makes so much sense now, thanks!" I rolled my sleeves up. "Now let's get crackin'!"

 A few hours later...

"Ugh, I can't take it anymore!!!" I screamed, clutching at my hair. "My head hurts, I'm starving, and we've been staring at these for ages!!!" I threw one of the portraits down on the pile and stomped off.
A loud click and the sound of gears whirring came from behind me. I whirled around just in time to see the rest of the portraits click together, and transform into something almost unrecognizable.
Elli leaped up and hugged me. "Hooray, we can get on with it now!!!" She bent down to unlatch the seashell jewel and pressed it into a slot. A tell-tale rainbow light burst from the jewel.
Henry looked at me. "Well Lexi, it is your mission..."
I grinned back at him, unashamedly. "Don't worry, I'll get those jewels back no matter what!"

Monday, August 6, 2012

Well, someone's being a hyper scaredy-cat today...

For a moment I froze, locked in a staredown with those clear blue eyes. Then...
"Elli!' I squealed, throwing my arms around her. "You're finally awake! There's so much I have to tell you!"
Ellie untangled her limbs from my grip and blinked a couple of times. "Lexi... I just had the strangest dream ever... " She sat up straighter and looked around "Wait, why are we in the hospital ward?"
I winced "Well, we were sort of hoping you knew... All I know is that you were found in a coma on the ballroom floor. Oh and your jewel was stolen but I have it back now!" I held up the seashell anklet triumphantly.
"Oh, thank you, thank you so much!" Elli grabbed her jewel and hugged it close to her chest.
"Anything for my honorary sister."I waved her off with a smile. "Now," I began "What was that about a strange dream?"
Elli frowned in deep thought. "Well, the other Chosen and I were in this prairie meadow sort of thing and we were having a picnic. Then you came along, and I was introducing you to everyone else, and everything was all fine and dandy." Her brow furrowed. "But then they came."
"Can you tell me about them?" I prompted.
"Um well, they looked like very beautiful, graceful, pale-skinned people. Like the Fey, but a bit off. It's probably because they stopped looking so pretty when they attacked."
"Did they seem kind of like a melting blob dipped in gasoline?"
She shook her head frantically. "They didn't look that ugly. They were more... insane. And I don't mean your brand of oh-my-gosh-I'm-so-hyper-it-seems-like-I'm-insane-but-I'm-not."
"Are you really sure about that? 'Cause I was there too, and they seemed like creepy gasoline blobs half the time."
"Absolutely positively sure. Wait, you were in the dream too? Does that mean-"
"No, it doesn't mean anything." I cut her off."Henry actually created a dream world thingy where he stuck you and the other Chosen."
"Oh, how sweet of him..." Elli trailed off, with a dreamy look on her face.
I rolled my eyes. Elli's crush on Henry is so painfully obvious, it's a miracle no one has realized it yet. Or maybe some people have and they're just keeping quiet about it...
"Elli, please snap out of it." I waved my hand in front of her face.
"Oh, sorry Lexi." She smiled sheepishly. "So, what happened to the other Chosen?"
I winced again. "Well, they're sorta kinda still in a coma, and their jewels are sorta kinda missing. Except for the storm jewel and it's unknown owner." "Oh shoot, we have to get those jewels back! Lexi, can you help me make a portal?"
I shook my head sadly. "Sorry, but no. You saw me give up my jewel, and if I used yours, it might backfire."
"I- I'm sorry Lexi. I should have known-"
"It's okay. Wait, how am I not in a coma yet?"
"Probably because you're part phoenix." Elli explained. "You don't have to be as dependent on your jewel as the other Chosen are."
"Oh, that makes sense... Hey, where are we going, anyways?"
   "To Phiriexell, of course."
"Then can I just get there another way?" I scratched the back of my head. "I think I'm getting portal-sick."
"Well, if you want to spread your wings and fly there-"
"Never mind, I'm coming with you." It's hard having wings and being scared of heights.
Elli gestured at the newly-made portal. "Former lady's maids first."
I scowled. "Fine. On one condition. You absolutely have to confess to Henry while we're there."
   She sighed. "Okay."
I grinned triumphantly and stepped into the portal. The grin soon disappeared when I heard a faint 'After we get all the jewels back." from Elli
   Dang it.

If you see someone in extreme stomach pain... Yeah, that wasn't me

Okay, so maybe it was sorta, kinda, all my fault. Well, don't look at me like that! It was for the good of the land after all. Besides, it's not like I wanted to do it. The whole thing was incredibly icky and disgusting and... Eww, mental image.
Anyway, I had to clear that up before you heard about this.

I slunk around the corner, ninja fashion. The goal was to find Henry- I mean, the general- and knock him out. Then I would raid his room for clues and- If I had enough time- convince him to stop calling himself by that stupid title.
"Hey Lexi, what the heck are you doing?"
I jumped "Uh... 'Ello, Henry! I was just looking for you! I had to give you, um..." I fumbled around for a moment. "This muffin!" I cried, pulling it out of my pocket. "You absolutely have to try it. I think it's Cali's best batch yet!"
He narrowed his eyes at the napkin-wrapped lump. "Are you sure that isn't one of your failed attempts at cooking?"
I nodded my head vigorously. "Positive. Now, eat it!" I shoved it in front of his face.
Henry gingerly took a bite. He closed his eyes in satisfaction "You know, this isn't actually-"
    THUNK
Henry crumpled on the ground. I stood over him, holding a burnt baguette, one of my so-called failed attempts at cooking. I smirked.
"Oh, dear brother, you should know that it is always a bad idea to insult a girl's cooking." Then I did one of those dramatic hair tosses and calmly strolled into his room.
A few hours later, Henry's room had been torn to pieces, my air of calmness was completely gone, and there wasn't a magical jewel in sight. I slumped to the floor, totally defeated.
At this rate, Elli and the others were never going to wake up. I would never be able to read with her in the library, or stay up 'till midnight giggling over each other's secrets, or experiment with our magic...
I facepalmed. How could I have forgotten that oh so easy answer to my problem?
Sparks whirled around me and the scent of cinnamon filled the air, as I called on my magic. All I had to do now was concentrate on Elli, and- there! A blue light flashed in the corner of my eye. I spun around, just in time to see Henry moan and roll over...
And the blue light coming from inside his stomach.
I facepalmed yet again. This was going to take a lot of disgusting work.

Yeah, for the sake of everybody else's state of mind, I'm censoring this part out. All you need to know is that I may or may not have shoved something down his throat, that may or may not have made him throw up. Rest assured, though. No permanent harm was done. Okay, back to the story.

As I picked up the seashell jewel, I conveniently forgot what happens when you overload something with magic. And so, I didn't notice the portal until it was too late.
      "Nooooooo...."
The portal unceremoniously  dumped me on the floor. I groaned and rubbed my back.
"Geez, couldn't those stupid portals give me a... better...landing..." My voice trailed off as I stared into a pair of bright blue eyes.

Oh my gosh, I haven't posted in like, a month! That's too long!!! *starts sobbing* But anyway, did you notice all those beautiful colors. I finally found the text color button :D

Of seashell gems and story trends

At first, the Chronicles of the Chosen was just the same old stuff they teach every kid here. Buuut, since you probably don't know all that stuff, I'll do a quick summary for you.

So, a long time ago, the magical creatures and the people of Hexanalyn, were at war. It was very bloody, and tons of people died... Anyway, they got to a point where both sides were so devestated, that they were forced to call a truce. Turns out, the humans thought the animals were trying to destroy them, and the animals were just trying to survive!
When they realized this, they quickly came to a compromise. The creatures would give some of their magic, in the form of jewels, to the humans. In return, the humans wouldn't harm the animals, and if one was in danger, they would help.
The day the treaty was signed is now celebrated yearly, as a festival.

In a way, it's a nice story, isn't it? Happy endings and all.
For the most part, I skimmed over this. Then my eyes caught this... Interesting bit.

Supposedly, the jewels were made so that only one person, known as a Chosen, could access the full power, but anyone could use them, if needed. Unfortunately, there were some side effects.
If anyone other than the Chosen, used the jewel for a certain period of time, they would experience nausea, sudden mood swings, and in the worst cases, they might even develop another personality.

Now, remember Henry's random personality change? Looks like he's been way too close to a jewel. I smiled.
Seems like I'm finally taking a step forward.

A/N My friend and I started a manga blog, because we draw a lot of it. So please check it out!

Let the interrogation begin!

Hey I'm back again!
(And I tagged along too!!!)
Quit talking on my blog Elara!!!
(I will when you give me my cookies back)
You know I ate them already, right?
(Exactly)
*facepalm* Why me?
('Cause you posted my diary online, remember?)
Do you see what I have to go through every day?
(You're just jealous 'cause someone said flower fairy ninjas are beastly)
Well, they're not beastly when they forget their shruikens!!!
(Either way, I'm still totally awesome at fighting)
Oh, you are so dead
(Wait, what about the people listening to us?)
What peop- Oh, you mean the blog. Well, sorry to take so long-
(And on with the show!)

Well, when you're looking for answers , where do you go? The library!!!
Unfortunately, I hadn't explored the palace yet, so I didn't know where the library was, but I knew there was one! I mean, a palace can't be called a palace till it has a library.
I crashed through a random door, hoping it led to the library. It obviously didn't. Instead, I found myself in one of those sitting room things that come before the actual bedroom.
A sleepy voice came from behind me "What are you doing here?"
I turned around. It was the general speaking. I must've stumbled into his room.
An evil grin spread across my face. Now that I thought about it... He could probably answer most of my questions.
And so, the rapid-fire interrogation began.
"So... Is it actually possible to travel to another world when you're asleep?"
"Um, yeah. You pretty much travel to another world every time you have a dream."
"Hmm... Interesting... Why do you insist on being called the general? I mean, Henry's a perfectly good name."
"It's still boring! Besides, you know my ambition is-"
"To have a huge army of your own and take over the world, yeah, yeah. So, why did I get stuck in the dungeon anyway?"
He scratched his head "I don't know what you mean. Didn't you just come here through that portal to the world I made?"
This whole thing was getting really suspicious. And irritating too. It's like all I ever do is ask questions.
"Okay, last question. Where's the library?"
The general pointed down the hallway "Just keep going straight until you come to a huge set of double doors that have the word 'library' on them in huge letters. You can't miss it."
I nodded slowly "Okey dokey. Well, bye now!" I went running down the hallway again and crashed through the right set of doors this time.
"Now, where should I look first?" My eyes landed on the 'forbidden' shelves at the back. "Perfect!" I rushed to them only to get smacked in the forehead.
"Oww! Who does that, seriously!?" I picked up the book at my feet. Chronicles of the Chosen, weird... Maybe this book would give me some of the answers I need.
I skipped out the library, satisfied that my little quest for answers was almost over. Well, I was skipping until something hit me on my head again. What is it with hitting my head today?! I picked up the thing and stared at it in shock. It was a small portrait of a girl with shoulder length brown-black hair, and dark eyes that flashed when she was amused.
It was a portrait of me.
Pocketing the picture, I went back to my bedroom. I had some reading to do.

Elara, let me out!
(Um, no way.)
I can't believe you had to lure me in here with chocolate.
(What can I say, drastic times require drastic measures. Anyway, see you soon!)
WHAT?!?! You can't just sign off without letting me go!!!
(I just did)

Elara (and Lexi too, I suppose)

XD intermission time

This is my late April Fool's gift. Hope you enjoy!

I lay in bed and stared up at the ceiling. Just one more minute... The clock struck midnight. Immediately, I jumped out from under the covers, and opened the locket that was always on my neck. Rainbow sparkles shot out, and I found myself sliding through a portal.
*~*~*
"Ow!" I exclaimed, after landing face first. "Where did all the pillows go!?!?"
"We took them." I turned around. It was those irritating dwarves again.
"But we need those pillows!"
"No, you don't."
"You try falling from what feels like 20 stories high on a hardwood floor!"
"You try sitting in front of a control board for days without any relief!"
I scowled. The dwarves controlled the portals we used, and they never let us forget it.
The two of us were locked in an epic stare down, when a thump came from behind us. Grumpy, a.k.a. irritating dwarf #1, blinked.
"Ha, I win!" I shouted pumping my fist in the air. A couple more thumps came from behind. I turned around. " Ru! Srigi! Tay! Rila! You're finally here!"
"Would you quit with the yelling, already?" Grumpy grumbled. (Hey, alliteration!)
"Never!" I proclaimed.
Srigi spoke up."So anyway, what story are we going to tonight?"
An evil grin spread across both Ru's and Rila's face. "We were thinking Harry Potter." We all cheered, except for Tay.
"I'll only go if we do the fourth book." Tay said.
"Okay!"
"I'm cool with that!"
"Let's go already!"
"I can't wait!"
A portal opened in front of us. What do you think we all did? Well, we jumped in, and subjected ourselves to the awesomeness about to happen.

This was the first version of the Mystique. Did you like it?

This is not part of the story. I repeat, this is not part of the story.

So, I'm at a part of the mission where I have everything planned out, but I haven't written a lot of it :( Anyway, I wanted to know if people would rather have shorter, quicker posts, or longer posts that would take me a longer time to update.

Remember, the fate of the mission depends on you!

Finally, a chance to beat up some bad guys!!!!

Left you at a bit of a cliffhanger, didn't I? Now I get why writers like to torture their readers with those *cackles evilly then chokes and starts coughing* Oh, from now on, all my commentary stuff will be after the story 'kay? Now let's get on with it!!!

I whirled around to face the... thing that put it's claw/hand/something-with-five-finger-like-things on my shoulder. And what met my eyes was, for lack of a better term, THE CREEPIEST CREEPER I EVER SAW IN MY LIFE!!!!!! It's kinda hard to describe but it was beautiful and ugly at the same time. That doesn't make sense, does it? Well, it was shifting between the two appearences and, oh great there were more.
Elara and I immedietly sprung into action, and soon the rest of the Chosen followed. I mean, what else are you going to do if monsters randomly come and take over your picnic. Scream?
Unfortunately, the Chosen are not blessed with epic ninja skills. And while Elara, being a Flower Fairy Ninja, actually has epic ninja skills, she's only like, five inches tall. It's really really hard to do a lot of damage when you're five inches tall.
   Basically we were doomed.
I heard a strangled noise behind me and spun around. One of the things got Elli!  It was squeezing her neck and her face was already starting to turn purple. Crashing the picnic wasn't cool, but this? Like a billion times worse.
I took a deep breath to calm myself before I got too angry and something burst into- I wrinkled my nose. The air smelled like... Cinnamon? I looked down. Oops, too late.
The grass around me was already in flames.
An evil smile was on my face. Well, if life gives you fire... Blow something up.
I raised my hands, and the flames got higher. Then I pushed them forward. The fire spread rapidly towards the monster that had Elli. The thing stopped choking Elli, and tugged her in front of it. Immediately, I stopped. But not before some of the other monsters blew up. Now that I think about it... It did kinda seem like they were dipped in gasoline...
Creeper dude (Yes, I'm going to start calling the one with Elli, Creeper dude. It's tiring to keep calling it, the monster who has Elli, or something like that.) curled it's fingers around Elli's neck, but it didn't squeeze.
"It appears we're at a stalemate." I said.
It replied calmly "No, not really. I could care less about my own life, but you obviously care about hers." It geastured at Elli. "So let's make a deal. I'll let the girl go, if you give me your jewel."
For a moment, I was shocked. I didn't think something that looked like a blob dipped in gasoline half the time to have a voice like that. It was kinda like chocolate, all rich and smooth.
But then what it said got to me. So either Elli or the jewel... I unhooked the jewel and threw it at Creeper dude.
Wouldn't you do that if it was your sister?
It threw Elli to the side, and it's fingers had barely touched the jewel, when I blacked out.

*~*~*~*~*~*

I woke up in my bed ( I was transferred to my bedroom after the first portal incident) panting, my mind racing. The first thing I did was rummage through my stuff. And guess what? The jewel was GONE.
I tried to fall asleep again, but every time I closed my eyes I would see Elli choking to death, and unanswered questions kept drifting through my mind. Finally, I gave up and ran downstairs to get some answers for once.

* Hello, Elara here! Lexi has recently become obsessed with a game called Duck Life 4, and I have taken the opportunity to hack into her blog! Personally, I think the ducks look creepy. But anyway I found something interesting, and I just thought you all might want to see it. So go to http://wattpad.com/Sing2TheStars

Revelations are... revealed!!!

*singing*-AND A SONG IS A STEPPIN' STONE/ KINDA LIKE THE WAY YOU FEEL WHEN YOU LET STARS SING YOU HOOOOOOOOOOOOME- Whaaat? It's on? Oh um, pretend you didn't see that last part, kay?  Anyway more to tell...

As soon as I fell asleep, I felt the waterslide-like feeling only portals gave. More portals!!! If this kept up, I might start throwing up rainbow glitter! Trust me,that would not be pretty.
It transported me back in the same world I was before. Did you really expect me to go somewhere else? This time I managed to land gracefully instead of falling in a heap. Well, at least I was getting better at portals...
I felt a slight pressure on my shoulder, and I whipped my head around.
"Oh, hi Elara." I was used to her appearing randomly. "Do you have any reason for being here? And no, you are not allowed to say you came here 'cause you're bored."
The impish little fairy sighed "Oh well, caught again. But it wasn't my fault that the Flower Fairy Ninjas didn't have any missions for me. Honestly, you don't even know just how boring it can get over there!" She launched herself into the air, and started hovering in front of me.
"Unfortunately, I'm on a serious mission for once. I have absolutely no time to play with you."
"That's not the only reason I came here, you know. The other one was the glitter fairy comment. I mean, did you really think you were gonna get away with that? Besides," she said looking me over. "It's a major improvement."
I looked down and groaned, well at least I pretended to. I was wearing the same dress as before!
"What was wrong with what I was wearing before?!?! Wait, how did you find out about that comment? I know for a fact the FFN can't get on my blog!"
She just smirked. "Well I planted a magical bug on your jewel."
I felt a flare of heat at my wrist when she said the word jewel. I didn't have to look down to know thatI was wearing it. Usually, I'd be really ticked off at the person that got it on me, but I felt I might need it later...
"Oh, look they're here!" I squealed, waving wildly at the people at the crest of the hill. "Come on, let's go see them!"
"Ok, already!" Elara yelled as I tried to grab her. "I'm coming. Just be careful with those wings!!!"
I wrinkled my nose when we came to the top. That smell... It was reeeeeeaaaaaally disgusting, and yet oddly familiar all at the same time. I couldn't place it though. And I was pretty sure that I'd remember the place I smelled that.
Elli waved her hand in front of my face. "Hellooo, anyone in there?"
I laughed. "Don't you know that line is so overused?"
"And yet it never ever gets old, like the millions of other overused lines you keep helpfully pointing out to me."
I snorted. "I'm glad you're so grateful for my help. Now, are you going to introduce me to the other Chosen or what?"
"Well why don't we start now?"
After a lot of introductions (and chocolate *grins*) I found myself sitting down with Elli at the edge of the group.
"So... What do you do here?" I asked
Her face lit up at the memories. "We have picnics, and dances, and parties," Elli flaid down on the grass, giggling." Fun stuff."
I frowned. This all seemed connected somhow. Suddenly,it all came flooding back to me. The night of Elli's birthday ball. That icky smell was in the air, too. And when I found Elli she was laying on the floor, just like she was doing now. I stared at her, horrorstruck
Until I felt a cold hand clamp down on my shoulder.

Never mind, that last one was test prep. THIS is the real test

The hypocrite strikes again! But really, I am weird this way. Have story, will continue.

The door swung open revealing... a pink panda party! Just kidding. I'd be so much more happier if that happened.
It swung open revealing... a portal! In all it's rainbowy awesomeness of course.
I gasped."Woah, cool! Where does it lead t-" The general cut me off and pushed me in. Before the office disappeared from my view, I saw the desperation on his face.
My happy ending instincts kicked in. What was that about? I grinned evilly. Maybe a happy ending wasn't so hard after all. Then I closed my eyes and let the sparkles take me away...

I hate to interrupt (Not really. Quit talking- You mean typing. Just stop!!!) *sigh* There are some things I'll never get and one of them is Rila. Anyway, time for a crash course on portals!
Every single world has magic, but it tends to show in different ways. We kinda travel place to place using that world-magic. To open one, you have to give a certain spot an overload of magic. That's the easy part. The tricky part is getting where you want to go.
If a path hasn't been mapped out for a portal, it'll usually drop you on the star road that connects all worlds. It's nice and all, but you tend to get lost after a while. The Realm Travelers have a different way to do it, 'cause they deal mostly with the book-worlds a.k.a. Realms. We deal with the imaginary/ dream ones. Anyway do you catch my drift?(wood. Sorry I couldn't resist!) Back to the story!

I was dropped off literally, on a meadow with tall, green grass. Laughter came from afar. Everything was practically screaming at me to go investigate. I stood and brushed the portal dust a.k.a. GLITTER, off. Unfortunately, I still looked like a sparkle fairy (No, I didn't mean that in a bad way Elara!) Wait... Something was wrong with that picture. I looked down. I was wearing a dress! How did I end up in one?!?! Did the general know about my weakness for pretty dresses?!?!
Someone was running towards me. "Lexi!"
"Elli?" I asked, astonished "But what are you doing here? Where are we? Why-"
"Before I answer those, you have to see this!" And with that she grabbed my hand and pulled me away.
Soon we came across a... picnic? Everyone there was talking and giggling. They looked well, happy. I recognized some faces, and I frowned trying to place them. All of a sudden it hit me, these people were the Chosen!
"Elli, Elli," I tugged on her sleeve urgently. "How did you get here?"
"Um, I think I was..." Elli thought for a moment. "You know what, I really don't remember."
I just gaped at her in horror as everything started to fade away.

A couple blackouts, rainbows, and fuzzy side effects later...

Back in the office, the general gave me an explanation. Apparently, he created another world when the jewels were stolen. Then, before the Chosen drifted off forever he somehow managed to get them in the world he created.
"So, you're one of the world-maker people thingys!!!"
"Um, yeah that's right." He looked embarrassed.
"But that's awesome! Why didn't you tell me?!?!"
He shrugged. "Can we get on another subject now?"
"Ok then, who do you have a crush on?"
   "Whaaaat?"
"Who do you have a crush on?' I smiled. It was just like old times.
"No one! Why did you ask?"
"So I could read your mind and figure out. You have a crush on Elli, don't you" And for the record, the general's about the same age as me.

Anyway the general's not a suspect anymore. Which brings us back to square one. I'm starting to think I need some outside help on this *coughrealmtravelerscough*. Also I got a portal call from the rest of the gang. They said they had to go back to the missions they were on.  Oh I forgot to mention, the reason the posts are like this now is 'cause when I was in the GDK HQ, I found one of those headset things you can talk through and it will type what you said on the computer. I linked it to the blog, used a bit of magic and volia, instant blogger! Always random, ever changing,

Lexi
P.S. Now I realize that tests have nothing to do with this!!! Oh well, too bad

Saturday, February 11, 2012

A test... Well more of a pop quiz now that I think about it

I don't like homework and I don't like tests. The timed ones. Like this one was. To make it worse, it's a life or death thing. So yeah...

I woke up, only to find that Sam was gone. Guess it all really was a hallucination, then. Now,what did the guards mean when they said I needed my beauty sleep? Maybe they injected some poison in me while I was asleep!!! That would be really bad. I could die at any moment now!But I should stop worrying about myself. Who knows what he did to the rest of them?!? The general, I mean. Not Sam.
I heard the grating of a key turning in a lock. Now that was a rude awakening.
"You're coming with us." The guard said. You'd think they would know that I'm not an impster. Guess that' what I get for keeping away from the public after the war.
" 'Kay. I'll be there in a sec." I kicked the blankets together, trying to buy some time..
"The general said he wants you now."
"Fine," I walked to the open door. "Happy now?"
I was forced to walk (more like stumble) down the hall, hands cuffed behind my back. Nine more guards joined us on the way. Ten highly dangerou guards against one girl? I must've become something of a legend when I was gone.
  "Hello, again." The general said
I sighed "What do you want now?"
"You haven't changed a bit since I last you."
"Considering that the last time you saw me was, I dunno a couple of days ago, it's hardly a surprise. Anyway, enough with the chitchat. Why. Am. I. Here."
"To listen to a proposal I have of course. But before I say anything you should see this." And with that the door at the end of the hall opened revealing...

Yeah right, like I'm going to tell you now. To be honest, I'm still freaking out over it. I'll talk more later when I've calmed down. Or stopped pacing around at least.

Scratch that, we're doomed!!!

Blowing up the lock didn't work at all! I mean seriously, what's the point of having magical powers if I can't use them! Anyway there's an update on the whole footsteps/whispers/insanity thing.

The footsteps were getting louder. I couldn't see the person they belonged to, until he knelt down in front of my cell and started picking the lock. Wait, a guy? Well whatever, at least someone was helping me escape. I could barely make out his features in the dim torchlight. Something about them nagged at my memory, though...
"Sam? But- but what are you doing here?" I whispered.
  "Helping you escape of course."
Just then the door swung open. I took his hand and started running. At least I bothered to explore the dungeons the first time I was here! We were so close to the exit, when I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head. Everything went black.
Before I knew it I was back in my old cell with the addition of Sam. What happened back there?
I sighed "Okay, so either a) you're a hallucination, b) you're an actor that they hired to trick me, or c) you're somehow the real Sam. For now I don't really care which one of those you are, just start talking."
"And, why should I do this?" he asked.
"Well, for one thing if you don't you're probably gonna get really bored, and for another it might be the only thing keeping me sane," I joked. "Though, if you are a hallucination I'm obviously not sane anymore."
I was rewarded with a light laugh from him. "So, anyway how did you get here? Last I heard, you were dead." he started
"It's a long story," I replied. "It took me a month to get through it, when I was telling it to other people. The short version is, I spread a rumor that I died, and I left the country- well the whole world actually- and set off on more adventures. 'Cause when it really comes down to it, I was not made to be a princess. But anyway, I thought you were dead!"
"Well actually I joined a group called the GDK*," My face paled. "You've heard of them before?"
"Um, I joined the Mystique so..."
  "We're enemies now?"
I thought for a moment."First, let's get out of here. Then maybe we can talk it over or something." I nudged him playfully. "Besides I have a whole lot of catching up to do with you."

We pretty much just talked for the rest of the day. When he fell asleep, I pulled this laptop out and started writing before I forgot a single detail. Just looking at him makes me so tired. Oh well, the guard did say I'd need my beauty sleep for tomorrow.

*Here, Sam said the group's actual name but since I can't tell anyone...

The weirdest mission I have ever been on part 4... NOT!!! part 2?

I should seriously stop messing with the 'parts'. Even I'm confused and I'm the one writing these things!
No sign of anyone... I'm probably just being paranoid. So,back to the blogging.
The office door swung open and a man's voice boomed out.
  "Come in, come in."
We were pushed, shoved, and tripped a few times too, thanks to the guards. They also somehow managed to get us in, despite our attempts to get free.
"So," he continued. "What can I do for you?"
At that point I just snapped. He was acting so... careless about this, when there was no way he could!
"What you can do, General Khoffva" I tried to spit it out with as much venom as I could.""Is explain to me why you were taking the jewels and putting all the Chosen in comas. And don't think I don't know you did this." I added seeing his suprised look. "Honestly, you couldn't have been more obvious about it. I heard you talking about it with your scond in command, on one of our nighttime raids."
"Princess, surely you must be joking. I would never do such a thing, and the fact that you think so hurts my feelings."
"You know what really hurts, the fact that I picked you to be regent 'cause I thought you cared about this kingdom and wanted to protect it. Clearly I was wrong 'cause you've just esured a full-blown war when the rest of the Chosen wake up."
"If the Chosen wake up,you mean."
"Actually that makes it worse. 'Cause you know what else a regent's supposed to do? Protect the ruler's family. Princess Elliandra is like a sister to me. No, she is a sister. She  is the first person I've ever actually called family. And what do you do? You just had to stick her in a coma that she may never wake up from. So, you'e fired."
The general sighed. "I was worried you'd say something like that. Guards!" No one came. "Guards!!!"
A bunch of guards shuffled in "Sorry boss, we still had the ear plugs in."
My eyes widened. The ear plugs would have blocked out our singing. There were a lot less guards on the past few festival days. Which means, they were expecting us to come today.
"Just go put these people in the dungeon. They're saying she's the princess, when we all know the princess died in the war!" He yelled, pointing at me.
The guards immedietly dragged us away. Furious, I retorted "Didn't your mama ever tell you to fear the phoenix?!"
"They'e hard to fear, when I have one right in the palm of my hand."
And with that the door closed and we were led to our cells. This was exactly the reason why I never wanted to reveal my true identity. But I can't really blame anyone but myself.

What is going on?!?! I keep hearing these annoying footsteps and whispers. It could just be that I'm going insane from the cell. I'll have to try to get out of here as soon as possible then. Off I go to blow up the lock with my magic,

The weirdest mission I have ever been on part 4... NOT!!!

So sorry to stop the story, but I can't do it right now. 'Cause right now I'm in a dungeon again. It's like the whole world's conspiring to put me behind bars, when I didn't do anything wrong! Well, I did blow up another castle once. But that was a complete accident, I swear! (and for anyone wondering it was in a totally different world) Besides I helped rebuild it.
Needless to say our plan backfired. No, that isn't good enough. Let's just say it completely blew up in our faces. The original plan was to sneak in sometime during the week-long festival (It's to celebrate the treaty between magical creatures and humans). Then Ru and I would use our combined singing powers to knock the guards out. At the last moment she lost her voice. We still went  'cause we were hoping there weren't as much guards. But when we got there, the place was like packed with guards. I was like why aren't they gone!!! 'Cause you know it's a festival. Everyone goes to it. Especially since it's one of the few holidays we celebrate over here.
Anyway the guards discovered us before we could leave in peace. And we were waiting to be let in to the regent's office, which is sorta pointless 'cause I was the one who picked him in the first place. Or did I...
Kinda nervous and, wow this was actually moderately serious for once. I might have to continue this later, I think I hear something... And I can sense the storm jewel again! Wonder what it means...

The weirdest mission I have ever been on part 3 (-.-)

.Yes, there's more to the story. And more news too. For starters, Chosen can sense if other jewels are near them. And I sensed the storm jewel in the GDK headquarters. It seems they're keeping secrets from us too... Anyway this is going to the top of my Must Investigate list. So, storytime!
The thing was rectangular, flat, and in full color. In other words, I had no idea what it was.
  "It- it's a TV," Tay stuttered. "A flat-screen TV."
"That is so not a TV," Srigi scoffed "For one thing, TVs aren't embedded in cave walls."
"No it is a TV, see there's a Wii hooked up to it. And this is a dead end."
A thump came from behind us. We turned around only to see another cave wall. We were trapped. Wait a minute...
"Look there's a door!" I ran over to open it. It wouldn't budge. And have I ever mentioned how much I hate being trapped?
"There's a Just Dance game in here." Srigi remarked. "Let's play!"
There was only one Wii remote, so Tay stepped up to show us how to play.
"See, you just copy the person on the screen and-"
  "That person looks freaky."
  "I know, right."
"I can't dance to this song!"
Eventually she gave up and let us mess with it. Ru took the first dance. We were all cheering her on, and when she finished (and she did really really well) a light blazed on the door.
"What is it with this cave and lights?" I muttered.
After the light faded away a triangular shape was left, glowing faintly. On closer inspection, it looked like the top point of a star.
"So, we have to play this four more times to unlock the door?" Rila wondered. "I'm totally ready for it!"
  "Let's go!" we all cheered.
And the Just Dance marathon began. We all tried our hardest and Srigi had the top score (I complained that it was unfair 'cause she played this before). The star lit up one last time before fading to nothing, as the door swung open.
  "We're all free!" I cheered
"No, no we're not," Rila said. "Where's Srigi?"

Again with the cliffhanger! I am such a hypocrite sometimes. Anyway, Ru told me earlier that she was part siren which explains her pitch-perfect voice and why the boys keep chasing her around. It's also the basis for the new plan to find out what's really happening in the Phirexiell castle. I'll have to explain that later though. Going to SLEEP,

Lexi

The weirdest mission I have ever been on part 2 (^ ^)

We weren't caught! *happy dance* And we managed to explore the whole west wing before dawn. No guards noticed us at all. And you think they would've stepped up the security while I was gone. But anyway on with the story!

After that random little flash of light, I found myself in the cave that was on the tapestry. Along with some other people.
  "Where am I?"
  "What?!?!"
  "Look, it's sparkly."
  "Who's there?"
  "This is weird.'"
  "Wait, Is that you Tay?"
  "Lexi?"
  "Rila?"
  "Ru?"
  "Srigi?"
Well, at least I wasn't alone. "So... what exactly are you all doing here?"
Maybe I shouldn't have asked that. Everyone started talking over each other and I couldn't understand what they were saying.
  "I was just-" Ru started
  "Well, I don't-"  interrupted Srigi
  "What the-" Tay groaned
"I got swallowed by a chicken!" burst out Rila
  Now, that was weird.
  "I mean, we kinda-"
  "Just came-"
  "To help!"
"And have fun of course." Srigi added
"Ok, um does anyone happen to have a map?' I asked
To my surprise, Tay pulled one out of her pocket
"I used to spend a lot of time down here you see," she explained. "So it only made sense for me to make a map of it."
" 'Kay then, lead on." Ru said.
"So," Tay muttered "You take a left here, then a right, then... oh and," She whirled around to face us. "Whatever you do, never touch the crystals."
Those of us who were about to grab some, including well, me, immediately whipped our hands away.
  "Why not?" Srigi asked.
"They're coated in a poison that will kill you instantly on contact. But not without causing you a lot suffering first."
"There aren't any tight squeezes up ahead, right?" I asked, shakily.
"No, I don't think so at least."
This was starting to get a little creepy. Actually more than a little. A lot more than a little.
We kept on walking and all of a sudden Tay stopped. We all crashed into each other and fell into a heap. I was about to ask her why she stopped, when I saw what she was staring at. And why her face was so pale. A lump grew in my throat
"What,"  I managed. "What is that... thing?"

I have to stop there. And for the record I hate cliffhangers too. Anyway I also managed to get my jewel back. I don't think anyone knows I have it yet. Hopefully I won't have to wear it. You see, the whole purpose of the jewels is to maximize your power in a certain element, in my case fire. The thing is, if I have too much potential magical power at once, my form gets harder to control. Instead of being a girl with phoenix wings who can fly to boot, I turn into a full phoenix which I really don't like. The other Chosen don't wear their jewels much either, 'cause it tends to burn them out a lot. Which kinda explains why it was so easy to steal the jewels. Another thing is, anyone can use them. So if someone got all of them... For now though, we don't have to worry about it that much. Word is, they don't have the storm jewel yet, too. Wonder who has it now...

P.S If anyone is reading this, I'd really appreciate it if you left a comment or two. I'm a bit comment-happy. O-o

The weirdest mission I have ever been on part 1 (> <)

This story starts out on April Fool's day. That alone, should have told me something was up...
I was working in the Salindae castle, as Elli's personal maid. Yes, that was my job before I found out I was one of the Chosen and also how Elli became one of my BFF's. But that's a totally different story!
Anyway it was right after I joined the Mystique when I met a girl named Halliea. She wasn't like normal girls, for one thing she was already dead. But she had to stay because she died before her time. "Eventually I'll be able to go to the afterlife," she said. "But for now I'm happy where I am!"
Soon I noticed her fading. When I asked her about it, she wouldn't answer. On April Fool's day she answered my question. "They said that if I don't find the Book before the next sunrise, I'll be stuck on here forever! Except it'll be worse than now 'cause I'll be totally invisible and I won't be able to talk to anyone!" She seemed close to tears, or at least the ghost version of them.

"What can I do to help?" I asked
"Well you know that tapestry with the cave studded with gems?"
 "Yeah, what about it?"
"It's actually a portal to the place where the Book is held."
Wow, woven portals? I had to figure out how to make those."Ok, so how exactly do I get in?"
"It's easy. All you have to do is step through!"
"And you're sure I won't just slam into the wall and look like an idiot?"
"Yes I'm completely sure. Besides we're already here."
I looked up. Sure enough, the tapestry was right in front of us.
"I'd go myself, but ghosts can't go through. Watch." Halliea tried to step closer but an invisible forcefield knocked her off her feet. "Only living people can go through, you see."

I was seriously rethinking my decision to help. Something smelled fishy, and it wasn't the seafood being cooked for lunch. But I trusted Halliea, and besides she was my friend. I would never ever let a friend down if I could help it. So, I took a deep breath and stepped through. There was a blinding flash of light, a rush of wind and I was off! I could hear Halliea's voice in the distance.
"Thank you Lexi for helping me! And remember that nothing is ever as it seems in there..."

Well, it's not that weird yet. But it gets better. And there's still no word from any of our members about the jewel-thieves. Believe me though, when I say we're going to find them. And- oh I have to go! We're going to go sneak into the palace tonight, ninja-style. Over and out,

Lexi

One of my hyper days (probably was the choco strawberries)

You know what I just realized? I realized that it seems I've been blogging every day. Blame it all on the time warp, ok? Blogging is kinda addicting too, though.
In reality, we've been here for a couple of weeks, and I have to say the Groupidontknowthenameof runs a pretty tight ship. Oh, I know their actual name now! But they made me swear not to tell (aww). And the people who stole the jewels? They've vanished off the face of the world. Well, not really (I wish it was true) we just haven't had any appearences from them in a while. Which means I have nothing to do but blog!!!
Ha, I remember what I came here to say! So, the GDK (that's what I'm going to call the Groupidontknowthenameof from now on) had this epic plan to sneak into the Phirexiell palace to see what was going on, right? They were all like "All we need to know now is if there's any secret passageways!"
I had to tell them I was only in the palace for a few days. And most of the time I was sleeping. It was worth it just to see the expressions on their faces. We all just burst into giggles when we saw. It's been a loooong time since I've had a good laugh. Now we don't have a plan at all to sneak into the palace, but we'll think of something. Eventually.
You know what else I just realized? My blog posts have been way too depressing so far. This one's going to be different. Why? 'Cause I am going to tell about one of the weirdest missions I've ever been on. But first some good news. Elli was rolling over and laughing in her coma. So were all the other Chosen. Some may call that weird, But I think it's nice to know that they're happy in their coma-dreamland thing. I'm starting to get sleepy, so I'll write about the mission next time. Looking up to the stars,

Lexi
P.S. Finally a random post (^ ^) I haven't been weird enough on this blog and that's what it's supposed to be for. So hooray!!!

Teamwork, yippee

Let's just say that I don't like pressure, 'kay. So when the guards heard, and they dragged us over for interrogations, it's not exactly my dream come true. And in the midst of all the confusion Rila disappeared. It turns out that after Rila left us all alone, she went to the Bahamas to investigate something. We found that out on the blog she made while we were in the dungeon (we were that bored). Anyway, they kinda managed to find out that I'm the last Chosen who hasn't fallen into a coma. So we (grudgingly, and only 'cause it's an emergency) decide to trust each other, for now. Although if they so much as think about betraying us, I swear I will go on a rampage.
On another note, I thought I saw someone I recognized here. The person who was pretty much the whole reason I joined the Mystique. But it's probably just my crazy imagination. And I only saw him for a second too... You'd think my imagination would be nicer to me, but I guess stuff just doesn't work out that way. Forever weird,

Lexi

Someone help please? With a chocolate on the top?

Well this is awkward. Really embarassing too-
Everyone's telling me too "get to the point already" so here I go.
Our secret hideout was um, invaded I think by the Groupthatidontknowthenameof. Apparently while we were stalking them, they were stalking us and now we're stuck in a dungeon. Plus they also think we're the "bad guys". Luckily, Srigi managed to snag the laptop while they weren't looking. So if anyone reading this happens to be somewhere in Phiriexell, would you mind letting us out? 'Cause I'm part phoenix, and phoenixes are birds, and birds are meant to be out there in the open air, not stuck in a cage. We would have gotten out of here before, but the walls are element-proof (our magic is element-based, you see), there's no secret passages at all (which is sad 'cause a dungeon without secret passages is like hot coco without marshmallows), and we are under constant surveillance. Unless it's lunchtime! Which only lasts for 10 minutes. So, yeah I should go before one of my friends decides to shout that I'm a Chos- ugh, too late. See you later I hope,

Lexi

Which one first, good news or bad news?

Well, a band of warriors has risen and their goal is to defeat whoever's stealing the crystals. And BTW, they're all guys. This has the Groupthatidontknowthenameof written all over it. Which means, we all might actually have to work together for once. Which then means sheer torture. But, if it' to save the kingdoms I guess I'll go along with it. For now at least.
Even worse, Elli hasn't woken up yet! I did everything I could, and I even broke down and used some of my phoenix tears. She. Didn't. Wake. Up.
And phoenix tears are supposed to cure everything too...
Anyway, we also found out that the Chosens might be the only people who ever saw their jewels stolen. Well, the only ones alive that is. Everyone else around were killed by some sort of monster. Rila's trying to find out what it was and she doesn't know yet. It's insane 'cause April knows every single species in every world. This mission is getting more impossible, the more we try to figure it out. This is only just the beginning. Hoping you have a happier time than I am,

Lexi
P.S. From now on I'm calling this mission Operation Ninja. It got so out of hand, it actually earned a code name.

Oh no,

This is bad. This is really really bad. Remember that mission I was on, the one where I had to go to school? Well, I was going to the same school as one of my BFFs, Elliandra aka Elli. Elli also happens to be one of the Chosen and actually so am I but more on that later. So anyway, Elli invited the us to a masquerade held in honor of her birthday. Oh yeah did I mention she's the princess of Salindae. It's one of the perks -or downsides- of being a Chosen. We all freaked out cause we haven't been to a party in ages (and I mean that literally) what with all the missions and stuff. When we were all done getting ready, and believe me the costumes totally rocked, we used the portal and walked in the ballroom. The place was a total mess. If it had been all gussied up once it sure didn't look like it now. I look around for Elli and I found her lying down beneath a wall safe that was once covered up by a mirror. I tried to wake Elli up but she woudn't. Which was weird cause Elli  is a very light sleeper and she didn't seem to be knocked out. Then I checked the wall safe and Elli's jewel was gone.
You see all the Chosen have some piece of jewelry that strengthens their elemental powers. In Elli's case, it was a sea shell anklet. In mine, it was a gold chain bracelet with a fire opal charm. Also, the Chosen are the ones who rule their kingdom, since one is born in each kingdom. Not exactly the best idea, dumping all that responsibility on a kid but it was part of an agreement with the magical creatures of this world. I forgot to mention, whoever's going to be the next Chosen is picked by the magic itself. So far it's never been wrong.
Anyway, we've been receiving reports that the jewels are disappearing one by one. The Chosen from the respective kingdoms have been falling into comas like the one Elli's in right now. Guess who the only one left is? Me. So either Phirexiell has been stealing the gems in my absence or *gulp* I'm the next target. Either way, we're going to have to stake out the place. Wish me luck cause I'm pretty sure I need it,

Lexi

Nicknames for everyone!!!

Ugh, I can't sleep and on top of that something exciting is going to happen in the next couple of hours and I'm all hyped up 'cause of it. So everyone gets nicknames!!!
April=Rila
Ruby=Ru
Srija=Srigi (not much of a nickname but hey it's catchy)
Taylor=Tay (Rila made that up)
Alexis=Lexi (of course)

Right now, I'm on a mission where I have to go to school in a kingom called Salindae, which is by where I'm from and BTW homework is the worst thing ever. The person who made it up either wanted to torture kids or was a complete idiot. Anyway that explains why I haven't been able to blog lately.
So I guess I'll talk about the Mystique a little more. You know about all the other worlds right? We have members in each world. Ru, Taylor, Rila, Srigi, and I are the main ones though, because of the narnia effect which states that in diferent worlds time passes differently. Me and the gang are somewhat immortal due to the fact that we all have some magical creature blood. I'm part phoenix because of an accident that practically ripped my whole life away from me, and I know Rila is a dragon shapeshifter. I'm not sure what the others are though. After all I've been here a grand total of six months, according to HQ time, and I've been on missions for most of it. Oh, we also have a rival group but everyone refuses to tell me their name. Apparently once upon a time we were all one group fighting for the happy ending. But after an argument it started to divide, boys against girls. A lot of the girls were heartbroken as they were dating some of the guys. They knew the group was going to fall apart sooner or later so they followed along. So technically thegroupidontknowthenameof is on our side but we have different ideas about happy endings. And some of them are stuck up, arrogant jerks. Honestly, I don't know what the girls saw in them. But I guess it would be nice to fall in love. Ta ta for now

Welcome to the awesomeness

Welcome everyone, although anyone who doesn't believe in magic should turn around and go back to whatever they were on before this. Because we use a lot of it. Also people who don't like the words random, epic, bizzare and ninjas. I'll try to resist the urge to use them, though Oh I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Alexis, but you can just call me Lexi. I'm a part of a group called the Mystique and we travel from world to world and try to um, save the day or help the person who was supposed to do it. And yes there are different worlds but they're not always in the same universe as earth or whatever world youre in. At the moment Im in HQ which is really really awesome. Anyway my friend Taylor ( BTW shes also a member) came back from one of her missions with a thing called a laptop. So the rest of the gang ( Ruby, April and Srija) and I made her teach us how to use it. Then I found a blog named realm travelers so then I wanted to make a blog myself and well here we are. Uh oh April's calling me. She sounds angry. I hope she didn't trigger the prank meant for Ruby. Ahhh she's coming! Gotta run, bye O.O
