"Lexi, I- I don't think I can hold on much longer."
"Just a minute Elli, Governess Prissypants is almost there."
Elli sent a pout my way. "Easy for you to say. You're not the one holding a bathtub's worth of river water in the air."
I looked up at the floating glob of water floating precariously above our heads. I couldn't even imagine carrying that much water with my own hands. Elli was really getting better at this elemental magic stuff.
"Well, you don't have to hold it much longer. She's coming down the hall right now!"
Unfortunately, as soon as I said that, Elli let her trembling arms fall. Which of course made the water plummet and splash everywhere. Drenching us in the process.
Miss Helena (a.k.a Governess Prissypants) heard the noise and rushed to the corner where we were hiding.
"Guards, I found them!"
A rough cloth covered my ears and mouth. Extreme pain, then darkness.
A few hours later...
I slowly opened my eyes at the sensation of being jostled around. It sort of felt like I was in one of those horrible bumpy carriages.
I blinked and took in my surroundings. Seemingly cushy seats that were actually rock hard, supposed gold decorations that I knew were just painted on. Yep, looked like a horrible bumpy carriage to me.
I tried to sit up, but my limbs were weirdly floppy. I would have ended up sliding down to the if someone hadn't caught me.
"It seems that one of the new guards thought we were intruders and shot those tranquilizer darts at us." The familiar voice of Elli came from behind me. "I think he must have somehow only managed to hit you and not me." Her tone was disapproving. "Clearly, that stupid idiot of a guard was lying through his teeth. I don't see why you put up with this... treatment you get from the palace staff! I could always just tell Papa, and he would-"
"Don't. Please don't Elli." It seemed no one approved of 'that dirty little orphan girl who randomly got picked out of the trash'. I could see why. I had all these gifts, clothes, good food, and I didn't even do anything to earn them. I only have all this stuff because Elli insisted that I get everything she gets.
"I-

"WHY DID YOU HAVE TO STOP THERE!!!" The thump of a book crashing to the floor echoed throughout the castle. A shaky hand slowly picked it back up again.
"I fixed the broken computer. I read the blog posts. I even opened a portal to the Mystika archives, after failing multiple times mind you." All of this was directed to a winged mint-green bunny sitting on a table. "I do all that and I'm not even the tiniest bit closer to figuring out what happened here!"
The raging girl gestured wildly at the scene behind her. It seemed like a perfectly normal library. That is if a perfectly normal library had books and shelves in utter disrepair, and comatose people scattered on the floor.
The girl sighed and rubbed her temples. "You know what? I really need some sleep. Let's go Flying Mint Bunny."
Said creature dashed after her as she walked out of the room.
Yeah guys... I have no excuses. But at least I posted!

The weirdest mission I have ever been on part 3 (-.-)
.Yes, there's more to the story. And more news too. For starters, Chosen can sense if other jewels are near them. And I sensed the storm jewel in the GDK headquarters. It seems they're keeping secrets from us too... Anyway this is going to the top of my Must Investigate list. So, storytime!
The thing was rectangular, flat, and in full color. In other words, I had no idea what it was.
"It- it's a TV," Tay stuttered. "A flat-screen TV."
"That is so not a TV," Srigi scoffed "For one thing, TVs aren't embedded in cave walls."
"No it is a TV, see there's a Wii hooked up to it. And this is a dead end."
A thump came from behind us. We turned around only to see another cave wall. We were trapped. Wait a minute...
"Look there's a door!" I ran over to open it. It wouldn't budge. And have I ever mentioned how much I hate being trapped?
"There's a Just Dance game in here." Srigi remarked. "Let's play!"
There was only one Wii remote, so Tay stepped up to show us how to play.
"See, you just copy the person on the screen and-"
"That person looks freaky."
"I know, right."
"I can't dance to this song!"
Eventually she gave up and let us mess with it. Ru took the first dance. We were all cheering her on, and when she finished (and she did really really well) a light blazed on the door.
"What is it with this cave and lights?" I muttered.
After the light faded away a triangular shape was left, glowing faintly. On closer inspection, it looked like the top point of a star.
"So, we have to play this four more times to unlock the door?" Rila wondered. "I'm totally ready for it!"
"Let's go!" we all cheered.
And the Just Dance marathon began. We all tried our hardest and Srigi had the top score (I complained that it was unfair 'cause she played this before). The star lit up one last time before fading to nothing, as the door swung open.
"We're all free!" I cheered
"No, no we're not," Rila said. "Where's Srigi?"
Again with the cliffhanger! I am such a hypocrite sometimes. Anyway, Ru told me earlier that she was part siren which explains her pitch-perfect voice and why the boys keep chasing her around. It's also the basis for the new plan to find out what's really happening in the Phirexiell castle. I'll have to explain that later though. Going to SLEEP,

The weirdest mission I have ever been on part 2 (^ ^)
We weren't caught! *happy dance* And we managed to explore the whole west wing before dawn. No guards noticed us at all. And you think they would've stepped up the security while I was gone. But anyway on with the story!
After that random little flash of light, I found myself in the cave that was on the tapestry. Along with some other people.
"Where am I?"
"What?!?!"
"Look, it's sparkly."
"Who's there?"
"This is weird.'"
"Wait, Is that you Tay?"
"Lexi?"
"Rila?"
"Ru?"
"Srigi?"
Well, at least I wasn't alone. "So... what exactly are you all doing here?"
Maybe I shouldn't have asked that. Everyone started talking over each other and I couldn't understand what they were saying.
"I was just-" Ru started
"Well, I don't-" interrupted Srigi
"What the-" Tay groaned
"I got swallowed by a chicken!" burst out Rila
Now, that was weird.
"I mean, we kinda-"
"Just came-"
"To help!"
"And have fun of course." Srigi added
"Ok, um does anyone happen to have a map?' I asked
To my surprise, Tay pulled one out of her pocket
"I used to spend a lot of time down here you see," she explained. "So it only made sense for me to make a map of it."
" 'Kay then, lead on." Ru said.
"So," Tay muttered "You take a left here, then a right, then... oh and," She whirled around to face us. "Whatever you do, never touch the crystals."
Those of us who were about to grab some, including well, me, immediately whipped our hands away.
"Why not?" Srigi asked.
"They're coated in a poison that will kill you instantly on contact. But not without causing you a lot suffering first."
"There aren't any tight squeezes up ahead, right?" I asked, shakily.
"No, I don't think so at least."
This was starting to get a little creepy. Actually more than a little. A lot more than a little.
We kept on walking and all of a sudden Tay stopped. We all crashed into each other and fell into a heap. I was about to ask her why she stopped, when I saw what she was staring at. And why her face was so pale. A lump grew in my throat
"What," I managed. "What is that... thing?"
I have to stop there. And for the record I hate cliffhangers too. Anyway I also managed to get my jewel back. I don't think anyone knows I have it yet. Hopefully I won't have to wear it. You see, the whole purpose of the jewels is to maximize your power in a certain element, in my case fire. The thing is, if I have too much potential magical power at once, my form gets harder to control. Instead of being a girl with phoenix wings who can fly to boot, I turn into a full phoenix which I really don't like. The other Chosen don't wear their jewels much either, 'cause it tends to burn them out a lot. Which kinda explains why it was so easy to steal the jewels. Another thing is, anyone can use them. So if someone got all of them... For now though, we don't have to worry about it that much. Word is, they don't have the storm jewel yet, too. Wonder who has it now...

The weirdest mission I have ever been on part 1 (> <)
This story starts out on April Fool's day. That alone, should have told me something was up...
I was working in the Salindae castle, as Elli's personal maid. Yes, that was my job before I found out I was one of the Chosen and also how Elli became one of my BFF's. But that's a totally different story!
Anyway it was right after I joined the Mystique when I met a girl named Halliea. She wasn't like normal girls, for one thing she was already dead. But she had to stay because she died before her time. "Eventually I'll be able to go to the afterlife," she said. "But for now I'm happy where I am!"
Soon I noticed her fading. When I asked her about it, she wouldn't answer. On April Fool's day she answered my question. "They said that if I don't find the Book before the next sunrise, I'll be stuck on here forever! Except it'll be worse than now 'cause I'll be totally invisible and I won't be able to talk to anyone!" She seemed close to tears, or at least the ghost version of them.
"What can I do to help?" I asked
"Well you know that tapestry with the cave studded with gems?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"It's actually a portal to the place where the Book is held."
Wow, woven portals? I had to figure out how to make those."Ok, so how exactly do I get in?"
"It's easy. All you have to do is step through!"
"And you're sure I won't just slam into the wall and look like an idiot?"
"Yes I'm completely sure. Besides we're already here."
I looked up. Sure enough, the tapestry was right in front of us.
"I'd go myself, but ghosts can't go through. Watch." Halliea tried to step closer but an invisible forcefield knocked her off her feet. "Only living people can go through, you see."
I was seriously rethinking my decision to help. Something smelled fishy, and it wasn't the seafood being cooked for lunch. But I trusted Halliea, and besides she was my friend. I would never ever let a friend down if I could help it. So, I took a deep breath and stepped through. There was a blinding flash of light, a rush of wind and I was off! I could hear Halliea's voice in the distance.
"Thank you Lexi for helping me! And remember that nothing is ever as it seems in there..."
Well, it's not that weird yet. But it gets better. And there's still no word from any of our members about the jewel-thieves. Believe me though, when I say we're going to find them. And- oh I have to go! We're going to go sneak into the palace tonight, ninja-style. Over and out,
Lexi
